Tick-Borne Encephalitis Vaccination

Tick-borne encephalitis is a viral infection of the brain spread by tick bites, found in forested areas of central and eastern Europe, Scandinavia and parts of Asia.

It is recommended for travellers walking, camping, cycling or working outdoors in affected areas, particularly between spring and autumn when ticks are active. The course is three doses, though two give good protection for a single season.
