Terbinafine is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungal nail infections by eliminating the fungus responsible for the infection. Take it exactly as prescribed, as treatment often continues for several months while healthy nails grow. Common side effects include headache, nausea, diarrhoea and changes in taste. Seek medical advice if you develop yellowing of the skin, dark urine or persistent nausea, as these may indicate liver problems.
