Cholesterol testing measures the fats in your blood: total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides, along with the ratio between them.
Raised cholesterol has no symptoms, so testing is the only way to know. It is worth checking if you have a family history of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or if you simply want a baseline.
We will explain what your numbers mean alongside your other risk factors, and advise on diet, lifestyle and whether you should speak to your GP about treatment.
