Propecia contains finasteride 1mg and is used to treat male pattern hair loss by reducing the effects of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), helping slow hair loss and encourage regrowth. Take one tablet daily exactly as prescribed, as results usually take several months to become noticeable. Common side effects include reduced libido, erectile dysfunction and decreased semen volume.
