Testosterone affects energy, mood, muscle mass, libido and sleep, and levels fall gradually with age. Where symptoms suggest they may be low, a blood test is the only way to know.
Timing matters with this one. Testosterone is highest in the morning, so the sample should ideally be taken before 11am, and our pharmacist will arrange your appointment accordingly.
A single low reading is rarely acted on alone. If your result is below the expected range we will usually repeat it, and discuss whether treatment or further investigation is appropriate.
