Scheriproct Ointment contains a corticosteroid and local anaesthetic to relieve pain, itching, swelling and inflammation caused by haemorrhoids. Apply a small amount exactly as prescribed for the recommended duration only. Common side effects include mild burning, irritation and skin sensitivity. Maintain a high-fibre diet, drink plenty of fluids and seek medical advice if rectal bleeding continues, symptoms worsen or new symptoms develop.
