PRP Hair Restoration

If you're experiencing thinning hair or hair loss, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy may help stimulate natural hair growth and improve hair density. Book a private face-to-face consultation with one of our qualified Prescribing Pharmacists to discuss your concerns, assess your suitability for treatment and create a personalised hair restoration plan. During your consultation, we'll assess your pattern of hair loss, review your medical history and discuss your treatment goals. If PRP therapy is suitable for you, we'll explain the procedure, expected results, the number of sessions recommended and answer any questions you may have before beginning treatment. PRP uses a small sample of your own blood, which is processed to concentrate the platelets before being carefully injected into the scalp to stimulate dormant hair follicles and encourage healthier, stronger hair growth.

PRP Hair Restoration

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a treatment that uses a person’s own blood to help improve hair growth and skin health. A small amount of blood is taken and placed in a machine called a centrifuge, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood. The PRP, which contains growth factors, is then injected into the scalp or skin. For hair loss, PRP may help strengthen hair follicles, reduce hair thinning, and encourage new hair growth.

It is commonly used for male and female pattern hair loss and is often combined with other treatments for better results. Several treatment sessions are usually needed, followed by maintenance sessions to keep the results. For skin rejuvenation, PRP is used to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance. It may help reduce fine lines, acne scars, dark circles, and signs of aging by stimulating collagen production and tissue repair.

Some people notice smoother, firmer, and healthier-looking skin after treatment. PRP therapy is generally considered safe because it uses the patient’s own blood, which lowers the risk of allergic reactions. Mild redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness may occur after the procedure, but these effects usually settle within a few days. Results can vary from person to person, and improvements often appear gradually over several weeks or months.
