Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen is a common treatment used to remove warts and verrucas by freezing the affected skin. The extreme cold destroys the infected tissue and helps the wart gradually fall off.

During the procedure, liquid nitrogen is applied directly to the wart for a few seconds, which may cause a stinging or burning feeling. After treatment, the area may become red, swollen, or form a small blister before healing.

Some people need more than one session for complete removal. Keeping the area clean and avoiding picking at the skin can help prevent infection and improve healing.
