Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes redness and small bumps on the face, especially on the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. Some people may also feel burning, stinging, or swelling of the skin.

Rosacea is more common in adults and can become worse with triggers such as sunlight, spicy foods, stress, hot drinks, or alcohol. The exact cause is not fully known, but it may be linked to genetics and sensitive blood vessels. Treatment includes gentle skin care, avoiding triggers, medicated creams, tablets, and sometimes laser therapy to reduce redness.

Common triggers include sunlight, alcohol, spicy food, hot drinks and stress. Part of the consultation is working out which ones affect you.
Treatment reduces spots and inflammation well. Persistent redness and visible vessels respond less to creams, and we will be honest about that.
